Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of experience level does my child need to participate for Rockshop band coaching?

Rockshop Academy is open to all aspiring musicians between the ages of 12 and 17. We are looking for students who possess a basic command of the instrument, willingness to be a team player, and the ability to follow instructions in a group lesson environment.

If a candidate does not possess a basic command of his / her instrument for immediate enrollment into the next Rockshop Academy session, we will suggest individual lessons.

I already have some people I play with, can we join together?

Absolutely, RA will make every effort to pair you in your band with someone you know and have already played with in a band setting.

What about vocalists?

RA encourages vocalists as well! Singers are always in demand, and may end up singing for more than one band.
